So if you’ve spent more than 5 minutes on tumblr outside of pony, homestuck, and porn blogs, you’ve probably come across the phrase “die cis scum” and the stupid semantics around it. It usually goes something like this.

SJW: DIE CIS SCUM.
SomeDude: Hey, SJW. That’s really not nice. You shouldn’t wish death on anyone.

SJW: I’m only talking about the SCUM women. So by getting offended you must be scum!

If someone defended saying “die woman scum” by saying “I’m only talking about the SCUM women” they’d be torn to shreds so fast not even DNA testing would be able to identify their remains. They’d get a big ole “MISOGYNIST” stamp on their forehead for all eternity.

Let’s try this again.

SJW: I’m only talking about the SCUM trans folk. So by getting offended you must be scum!

Again. If someone said “die trans scum” and defended it the same way people defend “die cis scum” tumblr would fucking tar and feather them, stamp “TRANSPHOBIC ASSHOLE” on their forehead, and hang them on a bridge as an example.

If hating minority groups for the way they are born is deemed wrong and can never be defended or justified, why are we letting people get away with it with excuses that would be torn apart if it were a minority group?

Hate is hate. Prejudice is prejudice. And prejudice is wrong. We should not be letting people defend and justify it. Hate has no place in equality.
